Protection against flash floods depends to a large extent on how we manage water in the landscape. In collaboration with the Mokřady association, we organised 2 new weekend events with volunteers called “I’m Giving My Time to the Landscape”, which promoted awareness of landscape adaptation to climate change and the importance of wetlands for water retention in the landscape, as well as the active involvement of volunteers in their care. Volunteers helped with wetland maintenance in the Jihlava region, dug new pools and toured wetland sites during a professional field trip.
