The surrounding health centres lack some basic medical equipment and local patients in serious health
conditions have had to be transported hundreds of kilometres or flown for treatment. Thanks to the support of the Medevac programme of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic, an X-ray, a lung ventilator, and equipment for gynaecology and delivery room as well as other necessary medical supplies are now available. 

The project also increases the professional qualifications of local staff through training. This spring, the support for the Medevac programme has been extended for another year, which we consider to be a recognition of their contributions.
