Diaconia partner, TEMPISH, is building a mill in rural Ethiopia to to advance female entrepreneurship and to improve the social and economic standing of women.
Some of our project beneficiaries demonstrate how to process ensete—a banana-like plant that is staple in the local diet.
Land marked out to build a local mill. Thanks to our partner, TEMPISH, the mill will be owned and operated by local women to save them the physical and financial burden of day-long trips to the nearest mill in the city of Chuko.
Our projects also support families through providing livestock.
A traditional home in the region.
Our Agricultural Project Coordinator, Vojtech Zitny, collaborating with our local project partners. These women will operate the mill provided by TEMPISH’s Skates for Mill campaign.
Vojtech discusses plans with local agricultural experts.
These chickens are some of the animals raised by the aid of our project-supporters.
Our projects provide women with new water sources, like this one.
These children will benefit from the mill, too.
Thanks, TEMPISH!
